Baseball and Softball season is here again at Branford Recreation Center. Opening Ceremonies will kick off at 9:00 am on Saturday, April 26. 350 boys and girls ranging in ages from 4 to 15 years old will be participating in six team divisions: T-Ball, C-pitch, Minor, Majors, Elementary and Junior boys. Branford Park is located at 13306 Branford St., Arleta. Volunteer Coaches are need and can call 818-893-4923 for more information.
They will be playing on four newly refurbished baseball diamonds with new backstops, dugouts, bleachers and fenced area around the baseball diamonds. This is a Prop K LA Kids funding project through L.A. Recreation and Parks. Community sponsors will be in attendance for an exciting opening day.
Recreation and Parks will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on April 10 for the newly refurbished Branford Park with Prop K funds. They will be celebrating the new walkways areas throughout the park, new gym floor, new outside building lighting, grass and tree area along with the new baseball diamonds. This project was years in the making for the community
to enjoy.
