Latino Alliance for Animal Care hosts Animal Welfare Summit at East Valley Shelter

Hosted by the Latino Alliance for Animal Care Coalition on March 31 at the East Valley Shelter were over 20 community members. This free inaugural event included a panel from non profit representatives at Best Friends Animal Society, Fix Nation, Heaven on Earth Society, Spay/Neuter Project Los Angeles. They shared with the community the different types of services they offer and how the community can become effective animal advocates to realize the goals of the Latino Alliance for Animal Care Coalition. In the future they will create a Community Animal Welfare Commission in the San Fernando Valley, promote animal services through a community network and organize quarterly summits for the surrounding communities.
