We’ve seen Small Lot Subdivisions going in throughout our communities. How is that working or not working? The City has released their recommendations and the hearing before the CPC (City Planning Commission) is this next Thursday.
On August 25, 2016, the City Planning Commission will consider the proposed update to the Small Lot Subdivision (“SLS”) Ordinance and make a recommendation to the City Council. The proposed Code Amendment is part of a comprehensive update of the existing SLS Ordinance, and is in response to the input received throughout the public comment process. Changes may still be made before the City Council’s final decision.
The Department of City Planning has prepared a staff report with updated recommendations for the Commission’s consideration. It is attached here for your reference. An agenda of the Commission meeting will be posted shortly at planning.lacity.org under “Commissions & Hearings.”
The Department appreciates the interest and involvement of the many stakeholders who have weighed in with their comments on the proposed Code Amendment. Any further comments can be made at the August 25th meeting or by email to:
- City Planning Commission Office, at CPC@lacity.org
