SACRAMENTO, CA – Assemblywoman Patty López (D-San Fernando) is pleased to announce that she has been appointed by Speaker Toni Atkins to the Assembly Public Safety Committee for the remainder of the 2015 – 2016 legislative session.
“I am honored to have received the recent appointment to serve on the Assembly Public Safety Committee,” said Assemblywoman López. “As a member of the Public Safety committee I plan engaging with all stakeholders to have a healthy discussion on legislation that will come before the committee.”
This week Assemblywoman López voted on her first set of bills as a member of the committee. The Assembly Public Safety Committee primarily hears legislation concerning the California Penal Code.
“I look forward to working with law enforcement and community advocates to ensure we create a fair and balanced California.”
Assemblywoman Patty López represents the 39th Assembly District, which includes the communities of Arleta, North Hollywood, Mission Hills, Pacoima, San Fernando, Sunland, Sun Valley, Sylmar, Tujunga
