The California High Speed Rail Authority is proposing a statewide rail
plan that will affect the North San Fernando Valley area with suggested routes to go through the Angeles National Forest. Their proposal is to connect the Antelope Valley from Palmdale to Burbank. They will be holding meetings in the following communities in the North Valley: Shadow Hills, Lake View Terrace – Wednesday, Dec. 3. 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm Stonehurst Recreation Center., 9901 Dronfield Ave., Sun Valley Burbank – Monday, Dec. 8, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm Buena Vista Branch Library, 300 No. Buena Vista St., Burbank San Fernando – Tuesday, Dec. 9, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm Las Palmas Community Center, 505 So. Huntington St., San Fernando Sylmar – Wednesday, Dec. 10, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm Olive Vista Middle School, 14600 Tyler St., Sylmar

Deirdra VierraThis “meeting” was ridiculous. The best thing about it was the huge turn out from our community. Not one of the railway minions had answers to pertinent questions and they set up the venue in such a way as to encourage people to leave. How these people are allowed to engineer anything is beyond me.
