Pacoima Beautiful created a one of a kind grassroots community planning document, the Pacoima Wash Vision Plan (http://www.pacoimabeautiful.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/Pacoima-Wash-
Vision-Plan-Book_FINAL.pdf ) that helps guide the development of a multi-modal greenway along the Pacoima Wash. For years we have worked tirelessly to promote the benefits that this greenway would bring to our communities in the Northeast San Fernando Valley. Along with community members, the Mountain and Recreation Conservation Authority, and several stakeholders we have made some of this vision plan a reality. One park has been built at 8th Street in the City of San Fernando, and we are ready to break ground on a 2nd park between El Dorado St. and Telfair. Funds for preliminary engineering of the bike path have also been secured and will begin before the end of the year. Unfortunately the Pacoima Wash project could come to a halt this coming week if the San Fernando City Council does not decide that “the Wash” is a priority. I rarely ask for support of this type but today I am asking that you come out and show your support for this project. We will not settle for unfinished projects that contribute to environmental injustice. Thank you for your support,
